Hi my problem started in October with a slight bleed from my vagina, having had a total hysterectomy 22 years ago it was a cause for concern. My GP fast tracked me the next I was quickly seen by a gynae consultant to find I have lump sitting in the top of my vagina. I’ve had a MRI which shows a 6cm tumour indenting into my bladder and into my vagina PET-CT scan has confirmed malignant mass tennis ball size and secondary mets in my pelvic bone. Biopsy has been difficult to diagnose but saying definitely fibrous sarcoma and is extremely rare. They have still to find out what the primary is as it’s shown kidney cancer but on staining it’s showing it’s not. I’ve had been referred for 2nd opinion as proving very difficult and rare. Which has now come up as query bowel or gynae still very unsure as more tests are needed. I had my biopsy 5 weeks ago and still no decisions on what it is. I have now been booked for a consultation with sarcoma oncologist on the 6th January for a discussion of chemotherapy options  I’ve also had gold beads inserted 5 weeks ago for radiotherapy treatment but this option has no longer been mentioned. Also I’ve had a left stent placed from my kidney to my bladder they were unable to do the right side as the tumour as adhered itself to ureteral tube  I just need to move forward and get some positive answers, thankfully I’m a fit and well 68 year old and in no pain

  • You are doing so well to have handled all of that, I am more or less at the same stage. I have endometrial sarcoma with secondaries in my RT lung and possibly my right tibia. Still having scans and no decision on treatment yet. I am 65. I hope you are able to enjoy the holiday best wishes.
