Hi my husband has had a soft tissue sarcoma removed from his back 30 days of radiotherapy any advice on going on holiday abroad?
Hi Jaz2010
Sorry nobody got back to you sooner but thank you for asking this question.
Firstly it is probably worth talking to his oncology team as to if this is something they would consider to be ok. Generally the doctors will try to see how it can be done because of the benefits to our mental health but they might put some provisos in too. Janice, my wife, has been advised not to fly because she has had so many issues with her lungs.
The next challenge can be getting travel insurance - you might like to look at Cancer and buying travel insurance as there are some tips there.
<<hugs>>
Steve
