No appetite

  1. I had my total open hysterectomy last July and ever since I have had bowel issues. I had a phone consultation with my GP last Thursday and told her about it and the pain I get in my collar bones and chest. I take omeprazole twice a day as a stomach protector so indigestion shouldn't really be happening. My other issue is lack of appetite and feeling full after a few bites of food. I have also gone off a lot of foods. I know that your taste buds change when you have chemo but I haven't had chemo. Oddly though I haven't really lost any weight. I went for my three month x-ray, bloods and consultation yesterday. The consultant looked at the x-ray but couldn't see anything but it will need to be read by a radiologist anyway. My bloods showed that my liver function had slightly worsened from 3 months ago so I will have a CT scan in a few weeks. I have non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver so it could be down to that.
  • Hi

Stress can have all sorts of  effects on the body so it may be worth talking this through with your oncologist when you see them next.

One thing with eating less is making sure we get enough of the needed vitamins and minerals - the blood tests you are having ought to pick up if there is an issue there though.
