Some of you may remember me from back in 2016 when I had a soft tissue sarcoma in my thigh removed. I didn't have radiotherapy due to poor healing and multiple infections but was reassured that such a good margin of healthy tissue was taken that my odds of reoccurrence were similar to anyone else....
Yet here I am, with a high probability of reoccurrence, I was unscanned for a little while as there was a staff shortage and my appointments were cancelled.
Got my scan in Feb which showed enlarged Lymph Nodes, rescanned last week and its changed and is now classed as "highly suspicious"
Im going in for a biopsy on Thursday.
I hope everyone else is well xx
Hi SuperReedy, that’s rotten luck to be in this position. It must be incredibly worrying for you but enlarged lymph nodes aren’t necessarily indicative of a recurrence. With your history of sarcoma your team are naturally going to be ultra cautious, hence the biopsy. With a bit of luck you’ll be fine. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for you. Stay strong.

I know they swell for many reasons but I have a particular one that has caused a hard non movable lump in my groin which has gotten bigger over the past few months. They had tried the wait and see approach but with it changing so much on scans and the other nodes around it looking normal they're quite concerned.
I also have a few other symptoms which aren't helping me stay positive but if it is, I beat it once so I'll give it another bloody good go!

Hi SuperReedy, I hope the biopsy went OK. When do you get the results? Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Hi SuperReedy, fingers crossed for you, let us know how you get on.
Hi
The results are in. The sarcoma is back, pathology say its identical cells to last time but in a new place.
The mdt meeting is tomorrow so I'll hopefully have a better idea of what is going on soon.
I'm having chest and pelvis ct scans on Wednesday, my last chest xray was 5 months ago and was clear so fingers crossed it still is.
I'm sure the tumour is deep into my pelvis and hip as I'm swollen in that whole area and it's been sore for around 8 months!
Thanks for checking back in with me xx
