Hi wondering if anyone has any suggestions for helping with sore/red hands. My 4year old daughter has had her 2nd round and her hands have broken out red and very sore.
thanks

    Morning

Sorry to read about this, especially in a four year old. As if going through treatment wasn't bad enough :-/

This hands issue sounds like it could be Peripheral Neuropathy (info link) nerve related ? Sore hands can be caused by chemo affected nerves but if they start feeling hot and/or get blistered this could be the start of hand and foot syndrome also known a Palmar Plantar.

I would definitely contact the oncology unit and ask about this as they may be able to tweak treatment or pass on something to help ease this in case it gradually gets worse.

If you could reply back and mention which chemo drugs regime she is on, there may be others here who have had the same and can offer more experienced advice ?

Hope this is of some help for now, G n' J
