Hi everyone. About 5 weeks ago I started with shoulder pain and then a few days after I noticed a lump on my upper left arm, with no injury. Gp sent me for an x-ray, results have took over 2 weeks and I haven't been told what they are, GP has booked a telephone appointment next Thursday and I cannot see the results on my nhs app. I saw a physiotherapist and she thought it could be a lipoma but said if the lump is still there to see the gp again.
I'm just worrying because the gp has booked a telephone appoinment and I'm non the wiser what this lump on my arm is, obviously I have googled it and that is why I am here.
Hi Louisac1cfd4
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it both informative and supportive.
Sorry you have this worry, lumps are really very common and sarcoma's quite rare so fingers crossed this is nothing serious. I am glad you have done the right thing though and gone to your GP.
Google can be a useful tool but given human nature tends to get something of a bias towards more serious outcomes and it is perhaps worth concentrating on key sites like macmillan.
Glad you found us though as if it is sarcoma you will be ready in the right place but hope it is something less serious and whatever hope the doctor's get to work out what is happening to help fix the pain.
<<hugs>>
Steve
