So 3months after grade 3 complete tumour resection in neck...was at christies today to see about adjuvant radiotherapy, only to be told that mri scan 3 weeks ago, that I have a 5cm residual tumour..there is to be a meeting to discuss if surgery is feasible as its close to my spine, followed by r.therapy...OR if no surgery then r.therapy to try and keep on top of this little bugger!

Was starting to feel more like 'me' after what was a massive operation which had so many risks,so this has been such a shock to me and hubby...

Any thoughts would be most helpful

  • Hi

Sorry to hear about the residual tumour after you had been through so much already and now you face the issue of surgery and radiotherapy. With my wife's leiomyosarcoma the only option offered was chemotherapy and that was something of an adventure in it's own right but for her the good news was that the second chemo managed to render her cancer stable and it has stayed that way for over 10 years now.
