Well, we are now on week 6 since finding out my partners tumor is Sarcoma and we still have no contact from any one - we have chased and chased, and have heard nothing from them bar - they advise that they are waiting for further histology!
Its such a poor management of patient care, I was off the impression that when you were diagnosed with Cancer you were given a Mcmillan nurse or the like, but we are still being left completely to our own devises!
It is driving us insane!
Hi Sierra101
Sorry to hear you are still waiting, who is it that is telling you they are waiting for further histology? I wonder if it might be worth speaking to your GP to see if they can help at least get some kind of timeline as that seems to be a significant issue here.
<<hugs>>
Steve
So it is under urology still as the sarcoma was attached to the outside of his bladder and they say that until its all back they cannot refer us, the consultant says that she is chasing Pathology but no one is answering her. It has been 8 weeks since surgery and 6 weeks since they diagnosed sarcoma
