Hi I was wondering if anyone has been through similar to me I am a 30f with two young children , I am awaiting biopsy and scan on a lump I have had that has grown 2cm in size in 3months on the back of my left knee/leg it’s not painful a little bit of an achy feeling in my leg only after a day of been active does it really throb, I’ve had no other symptoms no injuries or anything and the knee is very clicky, after finally going to the gp because of the growth they referred me to the royal orthopaedic for suspected sarcoma as he said it was firm fixated to where it was and has some concerning features just reaching out really if anyone else has experienced similar . Hi C91x
welcome to our community, I hope you find it helpful. You can see there are quite a few on here with quite similar experiences, my wifes Leiomyosarcoma is somewhat different but at the time of diagnosis we did have a young son.
From what you say it seems your GP is on the ball in sending you to a special sarcoma team, fingers crossed you get the appointment for the bippsy/scan fairly quickly and then can plan from there. Many find this stage between "suspected" and either confirmed or not really difficult.
You might like to have a look at this page from sarcoma uk that includes a video from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital
Janice has had two round of chemotherapy, the second of these rendered her cancer stable and it has been like that for over 10 years now.
