I had surgery to remove a large lump from my thigh muscle about 11 weeks ago. I was told pathology had a backlog so could be a while. I was wondering if anyone else has had this long wait time?
That sounds a long time. My biopsy took less than two weeks. I would chase them. Also if you were referred down a cancer pathway then you should have a priority timescale. Waiting is hard. Maybe ask your GP to chase too x
Thanks for your reply. I have chased the consultants secretary a few times but just keep getting told they aren’t back and unfortunately she said this can happen sometimes as the tests can take a while and sometimes tests have to be repeated etc . But as you say this does seem a long time now. I appreciate that the nhs is under a lot of stress so have been trying to be as patient but yes the waiting is so stressful. I will try again later this week. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else x
Hi Bonnie22, Thanks for your message. Sorry for slow reply I've not been on here for a while. Lucky it was a Myxoma. I am now waiting for the mri results of another 2 large lumps.
