Hello,
this is my first time on here. My mum has been in hospital for the last 11 days, finally we got a diagnosis of sarcoma on Thursday, it has been discussed by the MDT team but sent to Birmingham for discussion now. My understanding is that they still don’t know much about where it is attached to. The CT scan last week showed the organs around it weren’t affected, so that has to be a positive doesn’t it?? We were also told it wasn’t a secondary type from the previous 2 breast cancers so agin I’m thinking maybe that’s a positive as well??
The tumour is massive and her stomach is so swollen, she is in so much pain which could be the tumour resting on a nerve in the top of her leg.
we have to wait till Thursday for the results of the discussion in Birmingham, my mum has got it into her head that this is it and she’s come to the end of her life and because it’s so big nothing can be done.
I’m absolutely gutted and haven’t slept properly for the last 11 nights.
sorry for the ramble.
Hi Bracken. I'm so sorry that your mum is going through this. My youngest daughter is a scientist and needs to know everything about my sarcoma. I try not to mention anything as I know that she'll worry herself sick. Are you able to visit her? I hope you get some answers soon and she gets some relief from the pain.
Take care, Deb
