Hi after some reassurance really. I've not posted on here for over a year. Been on chemo, doxirubcin, gem/docetaxel and now trabectedin. Scan soon but I'm sure it's not working as feel as though they have grown. Just want to really know if anyone has had other treatments after these? So worried there is nothing else!xx
Hi ,
Sorry to hear about your worry and fingers crossed for the scan - we can all relate to how worrying that time is, so much so we often refer to it as scanxiety.
Janice, my wife, also has Leiomyosarcoma but she has only had doxirubcin and gemcatabine - the second of which seems to have managed to stop her cancer growing - for some time now.
I did manage to find on the cancer research site a list of chemotherapy drugs typically used to treat soft tissue sarcomas. Research is ever ongoing though so new treatments might be coming around and sometimes people join clinical trials to help to see how effective these might be.
Fingers crossed for a good result at your scan but hopefully that might give you some reassurance in the event the news is not so good.
<<hugs>>
Steve
