Basel-cell on the rim of my nose

I had the first biopsy for this in June 2024 and they took a pice off and then it was realised they hadn't taken enough off . The consultant said I mow need to go for MOHS at St Thomas . My fist appointment should have been January 2025 but that got cancelled , I then had a telephone appointment on 20 March and have now been sent an dare for it to be removed . I am really scared that I my loss my nose . Has anyone else had this done.

Hi BabsE....... I havnt had a bcc on the rim of my nose. Mine was on the right side... I was also terrified cried a lot and couldn't sleep... I found that talking to the surgeon about it all helped... the best thing you can do is tell the surgeon how afraid you are..... and be specific..... I didn't have mohs but it's an excellent means of surgery and it's great that you've been offered it. It's understandable that you're worried.
