I had a small BCC on my forehead removed today by a plastic surgeon. It is just above my left eyebrow which is now considerably higher than the eyebrow on the right side. I’m hoping it is just because of the stitches and initial swelling after the excision. Anyone else had something similar?
Hi fifi67, I had a large sclerosing bcc removed from the centre of my forehead with MOHS in March. Because of the positioning of the wound, both my eyebrows were considerably raised in the centre looking very odd indeed! I would like to offer you reassurance that within around 4 weeks the swelling had subsided hugely and my eyebrows had retuned to their original position. Wishing you lots of luck with your recovery, take care x
Thanks so much for your reassurance Trish123! Hopefully mine will do the same. Out of curiosity how is your scar now? I didn’t have MOHS but the excision was done by a very experienced plastic surgeon so hopefully the scar won’t be too obvious in time. It was quite a small BCC but I know they have to still remove quite a large area to get clear margins etc. Thanks again!
