Hi ,
My first post to the forum. I am due for a rectal biopsy in the next week . A friend has suggested taking Arnice to help wound healing, wound healing.
Has anyone any advice experience on this subject>
Arnica is claimed to help healing, which may or may not be true, as evidence is somewhat sparse, and I doubt anyone has conducted trials of using it internally.
But it has to be applied locally to get any 'benefit'. The last thing you should be doing after a biopsy is poking things up your bum: the biopsy wounds will lead naturally in 99.9% of cases; poking around damaged tissue that you cannot see or feel risks further damage, bleeding, and infection.
So, I'd advise against it.

If I can't beat this, I'm going for the draw.
Meanwhile, my priority is to live while I have the option.
As I understand it Arnica cream can be used to treat bruising but should not be applied to broken skin.
