Hello Everyone
Well, that's another 12 months flown past. Can I thank you all for the help and support you have given to the Community during the past 12 months - it's not gone unnoticed and your continued contributions are very much welcome in the future.
To keep the Community free for help and advice to other Community members can we all please use this thread for Christmas and New Year greetings and the "No Specific Topic" thread for general "chit-chat".
A little bit of housekeeping - On the matter of advice we give to Community members can we refrain from adding AI or Chat GPT generated advice or any links to videos which are not from a trusted UK source. This is both to comply with The Online Safety Act and to ensure all information comes from trusted sources or personal experience. Thank you for your understanding.
During the year, sadly we have lost some Community members to prostate cancer and if this situation has affected you and your family my thoughts go out to you at this time of the year. A vey special mention here to the families of William (Ulls), Joe (Joeven) and Peter (Alwayshope's husband) who passed away during the year. May they rest in peace.
On a personal note, this time last year I had completed treatment and was wondering if I was "cancer free". The answer is no - I have a "biochemical relapse" so my team are trying me out on intermittent hormone therapy - so it's a case of que sera sera. Watch this space.
So once again Lorraine (Mrs Millibob) and I would like to wish everyone and their families on the Community a very happy Christmas and our best wishes for 2026. We hope you all have a well deserved break and a great holiday with family and friends.
During the Christmas and New Year break there will be "normal service" from me, however the Support Line on 0808 808 00 00 will be working although on reduced hours.
Thank you again for your understanding and continued support.

Hello All & Buzzers
Thank you again for all the posts and all you do around the Community, even one reply to someone who is struggling with their diagnosis or treatment can lighten their mood and help them know they are not alone - so another big THANK YOU.
Brian - in 2021 I was in hospital Christmas day - my son turned up for the Christmas meal with his dog - Buddy - it's a rescue Husky cross St Bernard. (he's on the large size!!) My wife removed the large gammon joint (with Honey and Mustard) from the oven and placed it on the kitchen side. Buddy took one look at it - thought all his Christmases had come at once and in one movement - he was away with the entire joint!!
We still have a gammon joint and Jack still has Buddy - but "Never the Twain Shall Meet".
Kind Regards - Brian.

Thank you Brian, for all you do here, and for keeping us on the straight and narrow.
Thank you to all those here who read posts and chip in. The sense of community here is amazing and positive.
To all those who have lost someone during this, this community proves you are not alone in the world. I wish for you the love of all around you, and new strength for the future.
This community is amazing, and people act with real care.
I will be undertaking my usual activities, many of which will be focused on the Church, as well as family.
Others have given favourite quotations, and at Christmas time in particular there is a blessing which I feel I can tell you about. Even if you don't believe, I do, so this is a kind of from me to you thing.
The blessing is this:
May the joy of the angels, the eagerness of the shepherds, the perseverance of the wise men, the obedience of Joseph and Mary and the peace of the Christ-child be yours this Christmas; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always. Amen
Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year to all.
Steve

Hello Brian and everyone in this community.
Mike (aka my LH) & I want to say a huge thank you for all the support and help we have received since joining the club a year ago. Also for all your work Brian.
Only those who receive the kindness of others on here, understand the comfort those connections bring.
It is immeasurable. If only all the world could be the same.
We have grown our "new normal" following chemo & ongoing ADT.
Mostly we are able to carry on as before, albeit at a slower pace.
We feel very fortunate to plan Christmas with our 2 sons and their families including 3 dogs! Having read your story of the gammon joint Brian, we will be vigilant!
Mike has scans between Christmas & New Year then Oncology appt late Jan.
Scary times again, almost exactly 1yr. since the first ones. Staying positive & hopeful.
Sending everyone and your families, the warmest of wishes for Christmas and 2026 .
Thinking of those whose Christmas will be a different one, for the first time and anyone who is struggling.
May you also feel the comfort of connection here.
Sue
So we are now heading into the final weeks before starting a hopefully brighter year for all of us in this brilliant forum.
i personally would like to take this opportunity of wishing you all a very peaceful Christmas and the healthiest of New Years it can be.
since my husbands diagnosis in May of this year this forum has been my most used site and without all the input read I’m sure we would still be treading through mud!
Frank has now recently completed his 20 fractions of radiotherapy and just prior to this his PSA was undetectable so now he forges ahead with three years hormone therapy alongside two years abiraterone and regular PSA checks. Next oncology appointment on ‘Hogmanay’ so hoping we head in to 2026 filled with positivity.
My New Years resolution is to update our Profile in the hope of helping newcomers to the forum.
Once again thank you all so much for the ongoing support
Frank & Lesley
