Hello Everyone
Well, that's another 12 months flown past. Can I thank you all for the help and support you have given to the Community during the past 12 months - it's not gone unnoticed and your continued contributions are very much welcome in the future.
To keep the Community free for help and advice to other Community members can we all please use this thread for Christmas and New Year greetings and the "No Specific Topic" thread for general "chit-chat".
A little bit of housekeeping - On the matter of advice we give to Community members can we refrain from adding AI or Chat GPT generated advice or any links to videos which are not from a trusted UK source. This is both to comply with The Online Safety Act and to ensure all information comes from trusted sources or personal experience. Thank you for your understanding.
During the year, sadly we have lost some Community members to prostate cancer and if this situation has affected you and your family my thoughts go out to you at this time of the year. A vey special mention here to the families of William (Ulls), Joe (Joeven) and Peter (Alwayshope's husband) who passed away during the year. May they rest in peace.
On a personal note, this time last year I had completed treatment and was wondering if I was "cancer free". The answer is no - I have a "biochemical relapse" so my team are trying me out on intermittent hormone therapy - so it's a case of que sera sera. Watch this space.
So once again Lorraine (Mrs Millibob) and I would like to wish everyone and their families on the Community a very happy Christmas and our best wishes for 2026. We hope you all have a well deserved break and a great holiday with family and friends.
During the Christmas and New Year break there will be "normal service" from me, however the Support Line on 0808 808 00 00 will be working although on reduced hours.
Thank you again for your understanding and continued support.

I’m sitting in departures at Gran Canaria airport (our incoming aircraft arrived on time, so hoping to board soon). Mrs AW and I have had an amazing week hiking, so that shows that the treatment can work with minimal side effects (so far!). I am two and a half years down the line and hoping to be following the curable pathway. I also love the phrase “never give up, never surrender”. I’m also keen (as some of you know) on “laugh in the face of the Devil”! So, at this time of year, I wish all my friends on here great seasonal tidings and a happy new year! AW
So, just a quick thank you to ALL of you who have posted on this thread.
Thank you for the good wishes, It's a very special time of year for me (Christmas 2021 was the start of my personal journey - indeed I was in hospital from Christmas Eve until 3 January 2022) and I do value this time of year with family and friends.
Wherever you are in the world, whatever you are doing this Christmas please do take a few seconds to remember those who have lost family and friends and those who are struggling with their personal journey. We may only spend a few minutes of time helping someone - but that message can mean so much to the recipient.
Thanks again to you all, your support is amazing.
Kind regards - Brian.

Hi Mark .
we were doing the same last Xmas & new year 24th & 31st in the rafiotherapy unit .
tbh it put life into perspective as my OH was always busy helping me prepare dinner , housework etc before the mayhem.
this year we are going out on New Years Day to a hotel . Christmas we are at home but having just a very small dinner of 5 not the usual houseful . Life is too precious to be exhausting yourself .
Hope you have a lovely time
Best wishes & hugs
Liz & OH xx
Hello Mark & Liz
We must be mad at Millibob Towers - we are having Christmas Dinner for 14 and we will also be hosting 6 family dogs!! It's a good job they all get on with one another (and the dogs do too!! ).
Kind Regards - Brian.
