Hi all

Have any of you applied and received your records from the hospital that is treating you for PC?

If so and how long did it take for you to receive them.

I am trying to get mine at the moment and thing seems not to be happening.

I just wondering how long it will take, as for me it has gone past the Gov timeline.

  • Hello Les ( )

If you are having issues contact your hospital PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) or PASS in Scotland (Patient Advice and Support Service). Their telephone number should be on the hospital web page or Mr Google will tell you. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi Brian

I have just emailed pals today.

As when I email said dept for the records I just keep getting a auto reply saying they are busy. I guess it is a due to lack  of resources.   We shell see in a week or so.

    Thank you for your reply

  • Hi Les, we have a patients records office, which is where I started, I also got in touch with all my consultants/secretary's,GP, and PALS, as well as online through a subject access request, I asked for full disclosure for the last 3 years, as I go to 8 hospitals it took a little longer than the process usually takes, 10 instead of 7 weeks 380 pages and 2 discs. Thanks for your reply.

Its about 3 months from the time I requested my records.  I was just seeing if this was the norm.

    Thanks again

    Les

  • Your welcome Les, I did apply and get my notes 18 months earlier by E-mail, but didn't know they were automatically deleted after 3 months, so if this is your route to getting your notes, download them quickly.

Please remember that I am not medically trained and the above are my personal views.

  • Thanks Brian, I've never had an incoming message flagged, 1 or 2 outgoing ones, and yes the post was removed, take care.
