Well today I had my 13th Radiotherapy session out of 20 and generally it’s going very well so I regard myself very lucky to be getting this treatment! Yes I am having a few side effects now being quite fatigued at times particularly in the evening and my bowl is becoming irritated but most of the time not to badly and of course the amount of peeling has increased again to some extent, but if it gets no worse than this it will be great just so very grateful its getting done and seeing this thing off!

  • Hi  ,

nice to hear your doing ok .  Hope the side effects doubt bother you too much . When OH had his high doze of RT he could pee all night but it has settled right down .

    take care

  • Hello

You are doing great - when you are feeling the effects of the "sunbed" just take pleasure in thinking what it's doing to those poor Prostate Cancer cells.

It's a one off with 7 left to go - as the saying goes "things can only get better".

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Please tell your Radiotherapist about your bowel irritation they will prescribe something to help you with both side effects.  Worth it so that you can rest easier.  By now you will have only a couple more days to go so well done.  Hope all goes well for you.

  • Yep just 2 now I’m home, good feeling!

  • Amazing news . Hope you have limited side effects & the fatigue disappears soon .

My OH finished his 6 days of extensive RT 7th January and his bladder is settling down overnight now . He’s still fatigued but  definitely improving as he’s not needing to nap at lunch time

    best wishes
