Hi everyone,
I am now over 5 months post op DaVinci surgery and am still struggling with problems of both incontinence and constipation. I had serious incontinence immediately after my surgery and have gradually been doing my Pelvic Floor Exercises. I found that as I did these exercises I was tightening my back passage at the same time and as such increased the chance of constipation and bloating
It just seems to be a “Catch 22” situation as I then have to take laxatives (Linaclotide and Senna) to relieve my constipation which, when successful, after a few days, sets off my incontinence and I am back to the beginning again.
Any advise or help would be gratefully appreciated,
Cheers
Geejay,
Sorry to hear about your situation. Don't know if you are still having incontinence problems.
I would have replied to you earlier if I had seen your post.
In a Prostate Cancer Support Group I attend, there's a guy there who has had an implant for his incontinence.
A wire hangs down by your testicles with a button, then when you want to pee, just press the button. He said it has totally changed his life.
Sorry I can't remember the name of the procedure.
Hope this belatedly helps.
