This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic. It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.
It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.
I could have named it 'Waffle'. Then I couldn't go off topic.
Did you sleep under the shed last night, then?! ( joking!)

Good Morning WW - If my calculations are right (I am an accountant so assume nothing) you should now have done 11 out of 20 days Radiotherapy - which means you are over halfway there.
How is it going - I know the travelling is a pain (you do get your rewards in Morrisons!) is your better half coping and have any of the side effects reared their heads yet?
Have a great weekend.
Best wishes - Brian

I am a Macmillan volunteer.
Hello Brian, thank you so very much for your concern. Yes, say 11 yesterday. He will have only 4 sessions next week with a ‘day off’ awarded next Friday. The last session is on 3 rd March.
He is getting tired and has a headache most afternoons. They have advised him to increase his fluid intake but that means more ‘loo trips’! Other than that, he is okish.
re me. Well I’m beside myself with anxiety and tiredness. I am watching my husband like a hawk as I am so worried about him. I am getting very little sleep and I am exhausted. One of our daughters stepped in yesterday and did the driving and says she will do all 4 sessions next week. Our other daughter lives further away but is also volunteering to drive.
I don’t think my husband is sufficiently safe to drive on his own as he seems to be in a constant state of jet lag. I’m not sure whether it’s the HT, the RT, the travelling or what. He is very sluggish mentally and physically.
what has really hit hard is that the oncology consultant advised us not to plan any holiday abroad for 6-8 weeks after the end of radiotherapy. We are desperate for some warmth, sunshine and total relaxation.
so, we are getting there but it’s painful and slow!
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
