Hi my partner Bryan has had his pip review today and he and myself are worried sick he’s not going to get it back again is there people within McMillan that can help with appeals and mandatory considerations as I have no idea were to start with it all if we do have to appeal if it goes that far he’s on the road to recovery but still on hormone injections but he’s having after effects of the radio therapy and also he’s got mental health issues Aswel he was 1 point of the higher rate of pip last time so I’m hoping they shouldn’t take it off him if we loose it we due to loose a lot of money and will cause even more stress and anxiety on Bryan which he doesn’t need while he’s recovering please if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be brilliant as u guys have been a fantastic help to us in these hard times x
Hello Clarebryan62
I can understand how you feel. If you contact the Support Line on 0808 808 00 00 between 9am and 5pm they should either be able to put you through to a financial advisor or book an appointment to speak to one - you can also pose your question here (although it may take a day or two for an answer:)
Ask an Information and Support Adviser
Citizens Advice and Age Concern also offer help with PIP questions.
I do hope you get sorted.
Best wishes - Brian.
Macmillan Support Line - 0808 808 00 00, 7 days a week between 8am-8pm

I am a Macmillan volunteer.
Citizens Advice Bureau would probably prepare the appeal for you if the support line route suggested by Brian is not successful. They did with my wife a few years ago. They also signed it which I think may help. CAB services are free but like all charities they are grateful for donations.
I am sure you know that you need to put down the worst day symptoms and requirements and not the best day.
He had a phone call yesterday hoping we did okay but u never know with pip it’s so stressful all forms are done so it will just be for appeal or mandatory reconsideration if needed the waiting is awful could be up to 6 weeks thank for the advise x
Yes he currently gets pip this is a review so that he can keep receiving it x
AHH ok thanks I'm the same how long has he been on it ?
Three years just gone they extended it while we was waiting to be accessed but now he’s been accessed they will make the decision and we may loose it who knows we both so stressed as lot of money to loose and I will loose all my carer benefits aswel if we loose it x
Not until next may but there are so many changes happening like you I'm also worried
