I was at my Treatment Planning meeting yesterday when the bell rang out! There is a very large area in the Freeman Radiology Treatment Department. There then followed spontaneous applause across the department.
Do you ring the bell following Prostate Cancer and if so when? End of RT, end of hormone?
I so want to ring that bell and I want my family to see it.
I cried when it sounded yesterday.
When I was in the RT treatment area, people rang the bell when either they'd finished their course of RT, chemo or after they'd received the all clear. Some people rang it after the end of each different treatment stage.
It was always lovely to see people walking out with a big smile on their faces & ring the bell & always bought tears to my eyes. I found it really uplifting & motivating to hear it. I think the addition of the bell in cancer departments is a lovely idea.
The very best wishes to you. I hope your chance to ring the bell will come around soon.
