This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic. It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.
It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.
I could have named it 'Waffle'. Then I couldn't go off topic.
How to get confused by Satnav. While driving in Lincolnshire the Satnav said to: turn onto 'Drove Lane', so were about to drive down 'Drove Lane'. While doing it we are driving on 'Drove Lane', once we'd finished we had drove down 'Drove Lane'. So we have driven down 'Drove Lane'.
Confused...

I remember, when driving with Google Maps first became a thing, it seemed on occasion that you were being directed down a very sub-par road, a couple of track and what seemed to be some people's back gardens.
Someone I knew who was driving a Smart Car was directed through a ford. It didn't cause any problems, but when he shot round a bend and passed the sign it scared the whatsits out of him.

Changed, but not diminished.
eddiel I will see you tomorrow at Ulls' farewell (it sounds better than funeral), we have a longer journey up, as we were supposed to be in Nottinghamshire at Clumber Park, but due to a flying ant infestation we were moved to Tattershall Castle in Lincolnshire.
We should make it on time, it all depends on the traffic on the A1.

A rollercoaster of a week, Ulls' celebration of life, meeting Julie, his wife and family, meeting Eddie.
Also at the age of 61 I can say something I haven't been able to say before...ever!
I have a younger brother! 6 years younger than me! That was a shock! Tracey found him when doing family history stuff.
When we moved back to Wallsend in 1968, I was always told it was because my mum was homesick for the North East, when really, my dad had buggered off with another woman, then had at least a son.
There's also the possibility of a younger sister!
Then yesterday, brought back down to earth, my stepmum passed away. I always thought it was her, Josie who my dad got together with after my mum and dad split up.
You learn something new every day!

‘Rollercoaster’ certainly sums up your week! Will you attempt to find the recently discovered family members? I hope Ulls’ funeral was a good, respectful and appropriate ‘goodbye’ for him?
Ulls' Funeral was very touching, we learnt about his early life. There was a big heartfelt thanks to everyone from Macmillan. Julie actually had all of the posts sent to her from Macmillan. She hasn't been able to get through them all yet. I did forward every email to her.
Ulls had the last laugh, his coffin was draped in his beloved Sunderland flag. The funeral directors even wore a Sunderland tie each. A very nice touch!
You could picture Ulls smiling down on us.
