This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic.  It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.

It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.

I could have named it 'Waffle'.  Then I couldn't go off topic.

  • Ok Chaps - I can see your point - I hadn't thought of it that way - I thought of it the other way - here I am at the end of my treatment and you poor people are still going through it!

Yes you are right Seamus and Steve - Thank you. (hormones again - that made me cry!!Joy typing that!!).

    Kind regards - Brian.

  • There was a guy at the end of his treatment came in with a pair of boxing Boxing glove gloves on, just for the photo with the bell.

  • A friend of mine has just had Covid for 3rd time - over 70 and had all the vaccinations.  My son has Covid for the first time  and eldest grandson for the second time and one of the ladies my son cares for  who must be in her 80's has also got Covid for the first time.  They are not sure how it went around but one option is that the friends and relatives who visited the elderly lady for her birthday about a week ago brought it with them - or of course it could have come via my grandson from school and gone around that way.  Thankfully no one has been really poorly as all had the relevant vaccinations and it seems to be a mild illness this time - though my friend had a bad time with long Covid after catching it the first time early on.  I don't think we will ever be free of this now it will be like influenza - I've only had that twice and wouldn't want it again at my advanced age and with the lung problems I have acquired along the way.  Hope the rest of the year brings you good health.

  • Thanks freefaller, as you have lung problems covid must be horrendous, it was bad enough for me, I have a number to ring for the anti viral drugs my problem this year was the extended holidays, skeleton staff only so had to wait 2days for delivery, nevermind that past, I'm pleased to hear you're all ok 2023 being it on.

  • Freefaller,

I hope it brings us all good health.

You are probably right about never being free of Covid (in one form or another).

  • Just got another couple of hospital appointments through (to do with the Falls Clinic).  The first is to get a Heart ECG Monitor to wear, don't know how long yet, probably not longer than 2 weeks, as I am getting 3 Mars's all at the same appointment 2 weeks later.

Still can't believe how fast this is all going.  Can only be good for me!  Hats off to the NHS again!!!

Has anyone ever had one of these Heart ECG Monitors before??

Suppose every time I fart, my heart will skip a beat.  God knows what happens when I snore (not that I do of course, it's all word of mouth, Tracey's mouth).  I do try not to, but once I am asleep...

    Steve (SteveCam)

  • Well they are certainly looking after you. Suppose they don't want you hogging a bed cos you keep falling ang breaking bones!!!

Yup, I've had a monitor a couple of times. It's very heavy and a foot in diameter.  You have to strap it to your nether region and woe betide you if you fart as it sets off alarm bells audible for 200 metres!!! Very embarrassing when you are in a restaurant.

Ok, seriously,  no probs. I cant remember but I think it was a strap which went round your neck and the monitor, about the size of a watch was stuck to your chest. Wore for just a few days. Probably nowadays much smaller and the size of a pea!!!

  • Knowing my luck I will get an old one that goes in a Rucksack.
