This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic. It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.
It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.
I could have named it 'Waffle'. Then I couldn't go off topic.
Glad you have a more hopeful outlook for your daughter but still a worrying time for you all.
Shame you can't go to Florida but what a lovely thing to do for your family.
All is well here although hubby picked up a tummy bug which is taking some time to get on top of so plenty of bland meals, fluids, imodium and probiotics -POO. Osteopath recommended getting a massage gun for back pain plus resistance bands to improve exercise regime so I am cracking the whip to try and improve things. Still VERY hot. We are in the middle of the Greek 2 week holiday period so the village is full of holiday makers, mainly from Athens, so we tend to hibernate during this period and only go to the quieter places. Roll on September when we get the village back.
Morning AH
Hopefully hubby will be better soon. Gentle water exercise or gentle yoga for the back? I am sure you tried it all.
Yes roll on September and the birthdays!
Lots of love
Dafna
Thank you Dafna, always family first, I'm sure your the same, I'm hoping Mandy, kids and grandkids break in Florida will take her mind off what's to come, and follow up treatments, which will impact our wedding plans. How are you and Jacob doing, been a while since we caught up, Sheila and I are going to Tromso soon and a long weekend at a Spa in the lake district and currently in Scotland with friends. take care.
love Eddie xx
Hi Eddie,
Tromso sound wonderful. Have a wonderful time!
We are doing well here. Celebrated Jacob birthday on Thursday with apple cake (he baked) . The kids and grand kids were here so it was lovely. We redesign the garden with a coastal feel. It is always feel nice to make even a small change to elevate the mood. We are living our life in spite of the advanced PC.
Lots of love
Dafna
Belated birthday to Jacob and just under 3 weeks to yours.
Being lucky to have a garden and pottering in it can be a real boost.
I agree, pool exercises are a norm for him and really help, plus it cools the core down. We have an hour in there every evening which is so refreshing and sets us up nicely for the rest of the evening.
Tromso has come round quickly Eddie so enjoy the treat from Sheila. Glad to see that you are looking after yourself as well and a good pampering session does wonders.
Hi AW, family sure are a worry so much easier being the patient, Disneyland would be hell to me, not my idea of a holiday, talking of which why no get away during the Greek holiday period. Sorry to hear about hubby's tummy bug, I hope it's sorted soon, I find a mini exercise ball helps my back, when sitting put it between the thighs and squeeze, another exercise that helps sitting "again" down raise and straighten one leg at a time and hold for 3 seconds and a really simple one that helps is, if hubby is standing doing something having 1 foot 6 inches higher, on a brick or wooden block is perfect, really does help, PS compression exercises are not good for a bad back. I hope your all stocked up for hibernation, best wishes to you both.
Eddie xx
Thanks for the tips Eddie. He is very good at doing his exercises as it is a throwback from when he broke his back and ended up in Stoke Mandeville for 6 months. Not heard about the standing one so will dig a log out and get him to try it. All his exercises are guided by the osteopath to make sure they are appropriate and that he is doing them correctly - this is very important for anyone starting exercise to get the right advice first.
It's too hot for us to go away in August so we prefer to hibernate but looking forward to our few days away in a months time.
This all sounds very good news, Eddie. I’m really pleased for you :)
Wow! Eddie! What a wonderful treat for your family! I know this will be a holiday of a lifetime for them all thanks to your generosity!
