  • Contact the specialist nurse, if there is one. Failing that, contact your GP. I doubt they could bring forward the appointment (though that's not impossible!), but they might be able to prescribe stronger painkillers to get you through to Friday.

If I can't beat this, I'm going for the draw.

Meanwhile, my priority is to live while I have the option.

  • Hi

The spread of the disease to your bones, was your hip or pelvis mentioned ? I had it in my spine, rib and pelvis, now just in my rib and pelvis which occasionally give me some pain. As Heinous has said, try your specialist nurse first, because you have an appointment on Friday, they may ask you to wait.
I had it in my shoulder and the pain was something else very bad. I pushed and tried everything cortisone, pain killers did not get better, they finally gave me one session of radiotherapy on it, pain gone, this was four years or so ago but I pushed for help from doctors to specialists, it didn’t happen overnight.
