Well, PSA results are back and it's up again as expected, now at 3.80.
Further blood tests ordered to test my testosterone (I can tell them it's back without a test ) and liver and kidney function and a PSMA PET Scan is being ordered.
I will keep you all updated - I know now after 3.5 years why they call this a "journey"
Thank you all for your comments and good wishes and continued support across the entire Community.

Wow! Brian, your scan appointment has come through really quickly - perhaps we will all have to move up north for such excellent NHS care! ? You know that the HT will stop the onward march around your body. The scan this time will show where they are lurking. A completed plan is just around the corner! Glad you had a good walk ! Onwards and upwards! Love to you and Lorraine - we are all behind you both!
Hi Brian,
I've been away from the forum for a while and am so sorry to hear your news. Great to hear you saying "....never going to keep me down". That's the attitude that first drew me to this forum and exactly what I would have expected from you. It's inspiring to us all and especially to any newbies. That's the attitude that keeps you going and shows that there are other options than to lie down and give in. Long may you continue to be a beacon of bloody mindedness.
Hello Everyone
Just a midweek update:
* I am 20 days into 28 days Bicalutamide.
* I had a 6 month Decapeptyl injection into the old gluteus maximus on Monday.
* New scan was done on Monday 8 September.
* My eGFR (kidney function) is now OK(ish) at 57.
* I have been exercising more and since returning from holiday have already lost a stone!
Next meeting with my Consultant is a face to face on 23 October to chat about the scan results and to make sure I am OK.
Mentally and physically I feel great - just waiting for whatever side effects the HT can throw at me - I think I had them all last time round.
As we lost our dog 12 months ago (he was 17 years old) and I now need to get back to regular exercise (I don't do Gyms) last week Lorraine and I adopted a 6 year old ex racing greyhound who had been in the rescue centre over 500 days - it's going well so far - but he's not walked past my local pub yet!.
So overall - life is good.
A big thank you to everyone across the Community who has been supporting me and following my journey. Also a big thank you to you all for the support you give to everyone else on the Community - you are all super 's.
Kind Regards - Brian.

Thanks for the update, Brian. We are all rooting for you. I hope the side effects are not too troubling this time around. And….a big thank you to you for the support you give us all Also, thank you to Lorraine for sharing you with all of us!!!
Hope all goes well on the 23 October - keep us updated won't you. My hubby has his post radiotherapy review on 14 October - eek ! Lovely that you have got a rescue dawg - I have a rescue dog (Max) - he is from Romania & I have had him 7 years now - he is 12. He is so loyal & faithful bless him. Yours will do you the world of good
Hi Brian, nice to hear you are doing well. I was on the Decapeptyl, 4 years ago now !
Love the part about your new dog, he must drink a lot!
I'm still not quite back into the Macmillan again. Been getting counselling once a week since February. Ulls' passing really hit me hard!
I keep meaning to log in and post. Everybody here in the forum means a lot to me!!
Fingers crossed for 23 October.
I got a letter last week saying that I wasn't going to get any more '6 monthly' appointments. Just a PSA test that someone might have a look at. Last month my PSA nearly doubled, still nothing to be concerned about though.
I was at Maggie's yesterday and told them. My letter made it look like the NHS was going to stop all oncology check ups. Was it me misunderstanding it?
Anyway, glad life is good for you and Lorraine... and the dog.
Take Care
