The end of life

My husband went into hospital on Tuesday with an infection. Today, after I made lots of fuss, I have been told the prostate cancer has metastasised to his whole body. Life depends upon how well his body is able to cope with antibiotics to treat the infection. We have gone from me asking  for palliative care assessment a couple of weeks ago, being told it was not necessary to being told today that my husband has only days to live…………possibly. Devastating news

  • Hello Teatowel, I’m so sorry to hear of your husband’s deterioration  Hopefully the antibiotics will work so that you can have more precious time together. Whatever the future brings, we are here for you and ready to listen and offer as much support as possible. Don’t forget to take care of your own needs  xxx
