Well, PSA results are back and it's up again as expected, now at 3.80.

Further blood tests ordered to test my testosterone (I can tell them it's back without a test Innocent) and liver and kidney function and a PSMA PET Scan is being ordered.

I will keep you all updated - I know now after 3.5 years why they call this a "journey"

Thank you all for your comments and good wishes and continued support across the entire Community.

Best wishes

  • Hi Brian, very sorry to hear this news. But maybe it is in one spot and they can zap it, once you have the PET scan. Keep us posted.

  • Whaaaaaattt!!!!!   PSA 27.5!!! Brian, as you said 'HT isn't for life' (it's just for Christmas...no no no).

Don't forget about your Turkish holidays as well!!  You have everyone here behind you, all the way!!

I'm still not back into the Macmillan way since Ulls passed.  It really hit me!  But as you so rightly said:

"I get knocked down, but I get back up again, You're never gonna keep me down".

  • Brian, did I say "You old bugger"... only kidding!  Back to your Chumbawumba again: "I get knocked down..."

  • A.W. I've just been away for 3 weeks in the Austrian Tyrol, it's amazing the wi-fi reception you can get there.  Hope the weather is still good there.

  • I'm very sorry to hear this Brian, but you were prepared and I know that your resolute approach to this setback will see you through.

For me recurrence and the necessary treatment was (and remains) a pain in the backside but life's still good, once any necessary treatment is dealt with it definitely picks up. I say this as we're coming to the end of our 2nd month-long US trip this year as well as 3 similar Europe trips with a couple more planned to round off the rest of the year.

I wish you the best of luck with the forthcoming scan which will hopefully enable the next plans to be made and executed quickly.

    Derek.

    Ps Chumbawamba-another great Lancashire/Yorkshire collaboration.

  • Sorry not the best news but at least you are having lots of other tests so they can hopefully find out what is going on & get you on a plan. Keep us posted & keep smiling

  • Keeping everything crossed for you Brian. You can do this.

  • I am sorry to hear this Brian.

Will be willing you on from "dahn sarf".
