Prostate cancer

tricky, i was torn between sbrt and ldr brachytherapy, it could have gone either way, i just picked ldr brachy because of its long term data and i was almost a perfect fit for it, ie gleason 3 + 4 psa less than 10..  

Like you I am also 54! I also know what you are going through. There are some very kind souls on here that will help you get through this. Good luck on your journey.

Yep same as you regarding PSA and Gleason. Apparently the issue with mine is that although within the prostate the tumour is positioned in the at the edge.

hi, mine was on the left hand side 5 O’clock, however i think the seeds covered quite a bit more, i will get a copy of the pictures when i see them again on 5th september.. It would be good to quiz em a bit more and ask something like, given my detail give me your best solution and reasons and if sbrt and ldr brachy come into it, which is the most proven success rate and why.   I am stuck now no point in me asking, but you may gain from it and then you can pass it on.

Hi Stanlee66bd5e - if they’re unsure, they could always add, say, 6 months hormone therapy and EBRT to the LDR brachytherapy.   This is known as brachytherapy boost.   AW
