Roughly how long after the scan do they start the radiotherapy treatment
I think this is one of those 'how long is a piece of string' questions. Each health authority and department have their own systems so I would try phoning your hospital and asking them. My husband had his planning scan last Monday and had his first session on Tuesday.
The local practice to me seems to be 2 weeks planning to treatment. Mine was 3, but one of those was Christmas.
Definitely local practice rules.

Changed, but not diminished.
Good morning Terence (Terence M)
If you take the Christmas break away from mine just 2 weeks. As I left the planning scan I was handed the timetable showing all 20 fractions - dates and times - so a bit of forward planning.
I wish you well with it - if you need any help, information or advice just give us a shout - happy to help.
Best wishes - Brian.
