Hello Slartibartfast
Well - that's cracking news - you are an inspiration and by posting your good news it can only help others who are just starting their chemo journey to see there is light at the end of a dark tunnel.
I hope session 4 goes well for you and that your PSA drops even further and the side effects aren't too bad.
Keep us posted and thanks again for your good news.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Slartiblartfast.
It only seems like yesterday that you first come onto the forum with really bad side pain when we asked you the meaning of your name and I still remember it was from 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'. Yet another one who has exceeded the target of a 50% drop in PSA after three cycles so brilliant news and may it continue to go down. My husband suffered for about 5 days each cycle but he felt it was worth it knowing that it was working and giving the cancer a good beating.
All the best for tomorrow and you should be finished by Christmas so you will have something to celebrate.
Hi
It’s a great feeling knowing the treatment is working. If you have radiotherapy as well ( unless you’ve already had it ) then it completes the treatment except for the hormone injections.
Your PSA should drop even further, not much but it all helps. Many on here including me have gone 0.04 at least mine dropped that low before climbing again grrr, but that after seven years plus, so keep positive get through the treatment and enjoy life.
Stay safe
Joe
Excellent news. My husband had his 5th chemo last week and his PSA has dropped to 0.17. In diagnosis it was 59.9 then dropped to 41 after starting tablets and hormone injection. Luckily husband only has brain fog that last for a couple of days and a metallic taste that lasts about 6 days. Good luck with your next treatment
