Hi, does anyone suffer from aching leg joints since taking Enzalutamide? I have been taking it for about 8 months now and my dosage has been reduced to 120 milligrams due to the effects of fatigue but not sure it causes the joint pain.
Thanks
Hi Milo1,
My partner has Abiraterone which is really similar to Enzalutamide and similar side effects. Apart from the usual Fatigue and hot sweats, bone pain and osteoporosis is also a side effect of both medications, he has a steroid Prednisolone to help counteract this, is that something you have? He has also been told that he must take extra Calcium and vitamin D and do weight bearing exercises to improve his bone strength.
Maybe of help?
Best wishes
L
Hi guy's, I take Enzalutamide, and now have osteoporosis, yes I now take bone tablet and calcium tablets aswell as exercises, have only been taking the tablets for a few months, I've been told that my danger point's are wrists hips and pelvic bone if I fall which I'm prone to I will not might brake or fracture one of them.
Hi,
Thank you for your reply. I didn't realise that that bone pain and osteoporosis are common side effects, I do take calcium and vitamin D supplements. I will check with my doctor about the Prednisolone as the aches and pains in my legs seem to be increasing.
Best Regards
Hi Ulls
my hubby started on enzalutamide a week ago but I like to do my research and not only read the leaflet that comes with it but I asked the hospital pharmacist best time to take it
Initialky my main concern was that it can cause seizures and then extreme fatigue
The pharmacist explained seizures are roughly 1 : 1000
He suggested that if it were taken at night it would help hubby sleep as that the first 8 hours are when fatigue hits.
Hope you’re keeping well

Hi mistymoon1, I don't have seizures as such but during the night my whole body Thrashers about, my spouse goes to another room as she worried that I will catch her, I don't know anything about it but usually tired next day, I think it's because my legs feel heave and sore before bedtime, spouse calls it the twitches..
If your husband has been advised just keep on taking them in the evening.
