Hi, does anyone suffer from aching leg joints since taking Enzalutamide? I have been taking it for about 8 months now and my dosage has been reduced to 120 milligrams due to the effects of fatigue but not sure it causes the joint pain.

Thanks

  • Hi Milo

I have been on enzalutamide for 2 years and can't say I have noticed joint pain particularly.  The fatigue though...life has been quite impacted but as long as the drugs keep working it's probably a price worth paying.

    Cheers

  • Hi Steve

Thanks for your reply, maybe the aches and pains are something else! I agree the fatigue is an issue I still try and keep active but sometimes its an effort. As you say the important thing is that the drugs are working.

I hope things work out for you.

    Cheers

    Peter

  • Hi Milo1, like Steve I've been taking Enzalutamide for 2 year's and still taking 160mg, not sure if it cause joint pain, but over the last 18 months I've accuired Osteoarthritis, Rhumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis, which definitely makes my joints hurt.

  • Hi Ulls, Really sorry to hear that, it must be even more difficult for you, I think I will check with the doctor. The trouble is you don't know if its the side effects of the drugs that causes it or something that would effect you anyway!

    Take care

    Peter

  • Your right to get it checked out, hopefully with a good result

  • Hi, hope you don’t mind me asking but do you eat something before taking the enzalutamide? My dads just started on it and has been told to take the tablets with food but as he takes them late isn’t really hungry? Hope your fatigue has got a bit better? My dad is feeling tired but still managing to work at the moment.

  • Hi Sharlop, welcome to the site, there's no specific time to take Enzalutamide, but I take mine in the morning just after my breakfast and with the first cup of tea, hope this helps, All the best Ulls

  • Hi Sharloup, I take mine first thing in the morning before breakfast or tea, my dose has been reduced to 120 mg (3 tablets) and my fatigue isn't too bad. Hope your dad's ok.

  • Thank you for your reply. My dad has been told to take his last thing at night. Not sure why that is. I’ll ask him as the morning seems a better time to take it.

  • Thank you for your reply. Ill find out why my Dads been told to take it last thing at night. The morning seems to be a better time. Thank you for your reply Ulls.
