Hi everyone x
My mum is 2 years post-Whipple & has had her annual checkup. She has been called to see her oncologist- apparently her lymph node at the inferior vena cava is enlarged.
Does anyone have experience of lymph nodes being enlarged for non-sinister reasons? A friend has said it could be the scar tissue being mistaken for disease progression? I’ve been questioning Dr Google (I know- shoot me now) & it’s not giving me any scar tissue info.
Thank you for your reply Squeaky.
Yes, she’s been amazing - rather touch and go for about a year while working her way through the medical dictionary of complications of surgery & chemo BUT she’s come out the other side and living an active and happy life.
