Hi! Thanks for letting me join this forum. I don’t know if I have ovarian cancer yet as I can only get a gp appointment for next Tuesday, but I have a lot of the symptoms.
I was wondering if any of you could relate to this....did anyone experience feeling  like there is something in your pelvic area that needs to pop and the pain would go away? A bit like when you have a really sore spot on your nose and once it pops the pain goes away?
I realise this sounds weird but it’s the only way I can describe it.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Xx

I am the same , just had ultrasound and waiting for results. Trying not to cry for my partner and stay positive but it is so hard. I don’t want pain relief but can’t cope without it. So scared to tell my mum as I am her support since my sister died 3 years ago. I think we just have to be brave until we know for sure and manage the facts. Good luck to you and me

Oh bless you. I’m sorry to hear of your loss. It’s the waiting isn’t it? And the pain. I’ve been cooking and the pain is almost unbearable now after standing for so long. Tuesday is so far away right now.
I hope you get good results

Do you understand the feeling I have about wanting something inside to pop?

    Best of luck lovely.

Yes I do exactly, my pain is also in my pelvic area right side. I am trying to go out walking and stay fit for any future operations but keep getting in the bath to cover up my eyes watering. It is helpful that everyone says things get better when you have a plan .

I’m so glad you have the same feeling. Let’s hope it’s just a niggly thing that’s nothing to worry about and tablets will make it better.
I never have a bath, I always shower so if I got in the bath I’d get questions. I’ve not mentioned anything to my family yet as I don’t want to worry them. I know I’m not hiding it well as none of my clothes fit and to be frank I look awful.

I want to talk to you next week when we can raise a glass because we are well. X

  • Just want to wish you both the best of luck for your upcoming appointments, and I hope your symptoms will prove to be something other than what you are fearing.

As someone diagnosed with ovarian cancer in November, with symptoms similar to those you describe though, I just wanted to say that for me those early days of not knowing and not sharing my fears with anyone was definitely the worst and, even though receiving the diagnosis was very scary, having a treatment plan to get on board with and building a support network among my family and friends gave me the strength to face the surgery and chemo to come and to believe I could do this.

    love Bx

Hi B, thanks for your reply. I hope your treatment goes well. Xx

  • Hi both, so sorry you’re going through this, and hoping you both get constructive news this week that allays your  fears.  But just in case you do get the diagnosis you’re dreading, I wanted you to know that it’s far from the end of the road. I was diagnosed a year ago and, following treatment, am currently in remission and feeling so much better.  As B.positive says- it’s these days of waiting for information and a plan that are the worst. You’re in good hands and whatever the diagnosis they’ll help you formulate a plan which in itself helps ease some of the worry.

all the best to you, and if you’re up d’or it please let us know how you’re doing x
