I had the Oxford vaccine and had flu like symptoms for 3 days, but I had a strange reaction, I developed a swelling under my arm on the opposite side to the jab. I was very worried but luckily I was due to have a regular CT scan and this showed that it had not affected my lymph nodes. Unfortunately neither my doctor or consultant can explain the swelling which is still there after a month. The swelling is still there nearly 6 weeks now, and they can’t seem to identify the problem, also I have started getting hard lumps which are very red and sore on one arm. Lumps also on my legs. The hospital thinks it is Erthema Nodosum (sounds like a Harry Potter spell), I am having a biopsy later this week to see if they can identify the problem.
any one else experienced this?
Ken
Hi again Chemo556, as my granddaughter would say “pants grandad”
No as yet I have not heard of anyone developing Erythema nodosum from the Oxford but over the years have talked with a few folks post Stem Cell Transplant develop this during getting all the re-vaccinations we have to get post Stem Cell Transplant....... “you were just unlucky” they were all told.
Hope your team find a positive way forward with this.
