Hi I am 55 and although the last 6 months have been full of worry, I am so thankful this week to learn I am through my MM, Stage 2b WLE & SNLB with all clear. I've consented to Pembrolizumab immunotherapy. Apart from this MM and resolved hyperthyroidism 2.5 years ago, I am fortunately fit and well. I work full time and study. I am worried about the side effects and would be interested to know the recent experience of others.
I want to wish anyone reading this strength for your own situation
Hi I'm from the kidney group. Many immunotherapy approaches are the same for melanoma and kidney cancer. Here's a recent thread asking the same Adjuvant Pembrolizumab (Pembro)
Hi Jenzak and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm glad to read that there is no sign of melanoma after you've had your WLE and SLNB. You might like to join in with this current thread here where people are talking about having pembrolizumab.
When you have a minute it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
