Melanoma stage 1b now found more

I had a stage 1b melanoma removed from my ear before Christmas. I had my ear reconstructed as a consequence. I am not due to see anyone for 3 months. Yesterday I got my husband to take pictures of any moles on my back, where I can't see, that fit the ABCDE model. He found 2.

I used the Boots online skin checker ans this says they both could be melanoma. I now have super anxiety. I have left a message for the skin cancer nurses. I wonder should I see my GP on Monday or wait and see if the skin cancer nurse gets back to me on Monday?

Should I be worried

Hi JayneMol, I completely understand your anxiety, its awful for you to have this worry. I am guessing the boots app works on some kind of system that alerts people to have moles checked.

It could be that the moles are Atypical (non cancerous but irregular looking) and I know its easier said than done, but try not to worry. I would ring the skin cancer nurse rather than your GP on Monday and see what they advise.

Thank you. I have given my head a wobble, left a message with my CNS and I will see what pans out. No point worrying until I have something to worry about. Its just a scary place to be and easy to get anxious

Its always good to share when you have those thoughts and anxieties and I agree its easy to get into that place.
