Hi I had a sentinel lymph node biopsy in groin and wide incision about 12 days ago. Was doing great last week, although I have a small seroma in the groin. Then 10 days after surgery I was out for a gentle walk (not my first) and got extremely light headed & dropped to the ground. I didn't pass out and was OK straight after. BP was elevated when taken an hour later especially my diastolic (lower) one - 103. It's elevated since around the 90s and Ive spent 24 hrs with extreme balance issues especially when lying down or turning my head to the right. Causing balance issues and swaying. While this gas eased off a lot I still feel slightly lightheaded. 2 days on. Did anyone else have anything similar? I am due to see my team tomorrow morning. I'd appreciate anything. Thanks

  • Hi

How did you get on when you visited your consultant yesterday? I hope they were able to help with your recent feelings of light headiness, etc.

  • Hi Latchbrook,

    How are you?

Consultant was very happy with wounds, keeping an eye on seroma, no results yet from pathology Confused am back again next week & he's hoping it will be in then. He did say people have funny delayed reaction to anaesthetic & may be reason for my symptoms. He wanted me to go to my Gp.

So I got an app today, and my gp agreed was probably a delayed reaction that some people are just more sensitive than others. He thinks it's a form of vertigo & has given me medication & exercises. Hopefully they  kick in soon.
