Hi there, my husband has just started his treatment. I’m wondering if anyone has experienced these drugs and how they tolerated them? I believe side effects can happen straight away? Also would really love to hear the success stories about the drugs as I’m so anxious rite now. Really hope he is ok on them.

  • Yup. Started in Jan. 2019 and finished up Jan. 2020.

  • my husband started in August 2017.. he had stage 4 Melanoma.  He had very few side effects.. only feeling cold and fatigue both of which we managed with the CH system and planning our days and time. This was succesful up to December 2019 when a scan revealed that  1 out of 2 metastes in the brain had decided to grow. They tried radiotherapy but it didnt work and in April , decided that the treatment was no londer controlling the cancer. The treatment has now been stopped and it is a matter of time for the end but this treatment gave us another 3 years together. Good luck with your husbands treatment.

  • Hi Mackers1

Tell him to hang in there I had melanoma stage 4  in October 2017 had a tumour in the brain removed while on holiday in Australia.

I returned to the UK and started Dab Tram Jan2018 I had most of the side effects that are common  but over come them all with help from the Hospital.

I did follow all the instructions in April 2020 I started to feel unwell after my grandson caught covid19  he is a nurse.

I developed Bell’s Palsy so they stopped my Dab Tran just to see if that was a problem after so long on it.

I had a Ct scan and to everyone’s surprise no more cancer all clear so scans every three months from now on.

  • Thank you sailor2 I read your profile and decided I should do the same these treatments are very complicated and we all have our ups and downs things appear in scans and get dealt with.

  • Hi boots2,

You have a remarkable story.  For anyone who finds themselves in that position, your journey will give them heart to carry on and know that there absolutely is hope.  Thanks for sharing this with all of us.

    Take care,
