Hello have been on 40mg cabozantinib now starting my fourth year on this treatment and was wondering how other patients was coping was side effects wish all well
Hello Dom sorry to hear your dad has been diagnosed with cancer I had no idea I had it it started for me by feeling tried went to my gp and received B 12 injections do not help so had a ultrasound which showed a growth on one kidney after ct scans found it was advanced so started on the cabozantinib tablets lost some weight and yes diarrhoea and tried ness was petty stable symptoms have blood tests every month and then a phone assessment couple days after as the tablets are sent by Carrier and not on prescription at the beginning had sickness some days though not for a while now thankfully now on my fourth year of treatment am finding much more tried and last few months the diarrhoea has become worse making going out more difficult thing to watch out for is dehydration had two times in hospital on a drip it comes on with no notice hopefully it affects different people in different ways hope this helps you and your dad and I wish you and your family the very best for the future at a difficult time if you have questions I have found Macmillan people very helpful good luck
