Hi I am Dave and have Renal cancer with cervical spine and thoracic spine metastasis
I had life saving surgery a year ago removing my C4 and having it replaced with a metal cage and supporting rods from C2 to C6
i have had radiotherapy to my neck and spine and an on Canozantinib 60/40 alternating days
Bowel have not been stable initially but by taking Lomotil once a day and a sachet of fibogel each day have a more stable situation (although stormy at times )
I was initially paralysed last year but have made a great recovery over the last year
I am able to move around with a stick but need a wheelchair for longer periods
I have had Denosumab injections to support my Calcium levels
I am now feeling well enough to book a cruise however insurance was £1622 for 11dsys and we go in May
thanks for allowing me to join the group
Wishing you all the best for your cruise, Dalyn, after everything you have been through and despite that swingeing insurance cost.
