Hi, just curious how old people are. I’m 39 and will be having nephrectomy on Wednesday.
I am so sorry to hear this. I was 33 when they found the tumour on my kidney last year. I had my kidney removed and I am doing okay now. Don't feel guilty how was you supposed to know if it was on both kidneys then I don't know if there was much they could do as the main treatment is removing the kidney. Xx
Thank you for your reply...wow 33 is a young age to have kidney cancer. Previously 20 months my husband fell 3 metres and broke his elbow and 2 ribs. He did have symptoms but put it down to his fall. I do wonder if the fall cause the cancer. My husband also lost weight and in the last 6 weeks had a couple of night sweats. I am so glad that you are doing well. It's all the IFS and whats that goes around my head. Sending you a big hug Xx
My surgeon said there has been a rise in kidney cancer in younger people since covid. So I think myne was caused by covid. I had back pain for 3 years that was put down to muscular pain it was only when I got foot drop and was admitted to hospital they did a scan and found it. Sending big hugs to you xx
Really..my husband died December 2022 and I sometimes wonder if it was the vaccine that caused his cancer. I guess I will never know Xx
I was 55.l am so sorry. I had my left kidney and some lymph nodes removed last year. It was picked up on a scan for something else. So l was very lucky. Did you have regular scans.l had 1 a month after then 6months. I am just waiting for the results of my 12 month scan .
Hi, My kidney tumour was “accidentally“ found whilst I was being treated for prostate cancer. This was in early 2021 when I was 59. Since then, I have had a Nephrectomy and am now fighting metastases in my Liver, Pancreas and both lungs. Luckily, the treatment is managing to contain the spread for the time being. Good luck with the Nephrectomy x
