My mum had a fall on Wednesday evening and ended up having to go to hospital. She has broken her femur and I got called to the hospital today as they have confirmed the fracture is because of degeneration of the bone due metastatis from the kidneys. I'm devastated and because of covid I can't go and see her. They had to get special permission for me to come in today. She must be so scared and alone and I feel so helpless, I'm not ready for her to not be here. I've tried to sleep but I can't. She just wants to go home but she can't.
Oh Ceriba, I am so sorry. I don’t really have anything to say but I didn’t want to leave without replying. I can say that having been in hospital this year, the staff were amazing. The nurses took the time to chat while carrying out their tasks, and they were friendly and kind. I hope your mum is as fortunate as I was and I hope she can come home soon. Best wishes.
That is such dreadful news at the most awful of times. I do hope you can still chat to her via phone/Facebook. Nothing much I can say to help other than she is in the right place at the moment until she is temporary sorted. Hope you can keep positive until you find out more and if treatments are available which can hold the spread of this disease. I’ll keep everything crossed for you all x
