Hi, my husband is diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. He had part of his kidney removed three years ago and last year it had spread to his lungs, which have remained stable but the part of the kidney that is left has a tumour which is growing quite rapidly so they want to remove it totally for the cancer to remain stable.
I realise three years ago that the best option in their mind was to do a partial removal but to open him up again and remove the rest of the kidney seems a lot for him. He has had a lot of muscle pain since the last op so he is of two minds to go ahead with it. Has anyone else experience this please?
Hi
CantCan the tumour in his kidney n lung be treated with meds?
There are a no of meds available from TKIs, like Pazopanib, to immunotherapy, incl combos.
They may have side effects but wouldn't b as bad as having further surgery
