Hi
Just wondered if anyone has gone from pazopanib treatment to cabozantinib. My husband has been on paz for just over two years and it is no longer working. Results form oncology today show more mets in his lungs and considerable increase in the existing mets in lungs. Also has a growth in the adrenal bed that has increased. He is so positive but I am finding it difficult taking todays results in.
Has anyone had positive results on a change of target drug.
Many thanks Deb 1960
Hi, not been here for ages but I’m dipping my toe back in the water. I too was on Pazopanib which was very successful at keeping my nodules under control. However after 4 years it stopped working so my oncologist tried me on Nivolumab which, after 12 months, was not successful. Hey ho onwards and upwards I was put onto Cabozantinib which carried on where the Pazopanib left off. It has now been shrinking or preventing any more growth for 18 months. To leave on a positive note, I was told by a cancer nurse that patients who react well to a “nib” drug will do well on all the other “nib” drugs. One last word, cancer is a word not a sentence. Best wishes Phil
Hello brighteyes
Very positive and so glad it is working for you. That makes me feel a lot better and as my husband said its just a blip. Yes onwards and upwards. Take care Debra
