I am very worried as I am still waiting for my last scan results over a month ago now, I understand that the coronavirus has taken all the NHS resources, but I am still waiting to see what can be done about the cancer in my right kidney, I had my left kidney removed on December the 30th they also removed my spleen as it was stuck to the kidney, I have tried phoning and left messages but, no one has got back to me yet is anybody else in this situation Sandra 55
Have u anybody u can email if you're having no luck on the phone?
I email my oncologist's secretary if I need an answer to things. She's extremely helpful.
Hi Buttercup,
Thank you for getting in touch, I did phone my oncologist secretary she did say she would ask for me but, that was over a week ago, I did see my oncologist back in January after my operation, the trouble with my case is there are three hospitals involved, this is why I am so worried as with this coronavirus all the hospitals have been put on standby, so I don’t know where I stand, they might leave me until after the virus calms down
Oh blast @sandra 55 n there was me thinking I might have found a solution.
Three hospitals involved is 3 times as much of a problem..Do you have the secretary's email address? It might still b worth emailing, as it'll nudge her memory.
Fingers crossed u hear soon x
You have been very helpful no I do not have an email address for her only the hospital phone number hopefully I will hear soon thank you for your reply
Hi Jo,
I have just received a phone call last night from one of my nurses, they have said that someone will contact me this Wednesday, I am very pleased that they have contacted me, my consultant will let me know my results from my scan, I will also find out if any can be done for me.
How did u get on yesterday ?
Hi Buttercup01,
yes, I am very happy yesterday afternoon the hospital phoned me, they want me to come in next Thursday to see my consultant Mr Hicks to discuss my case as they had a disciplinary meeting on the Wednesday morning, I am so glad that they contacted me, so fingers crossed they can do something for me, thank you for asking.
Hi folks,
just received my letter from the NHS about me being one of the vulnerable, in it is that I should not go out for 12 weeks, it also is saying that I should not go to hospital, I should phone them and ask for a phone call, it evens says that if I need a doctors appointment I can have a home visit or phone call, this is very confusing as I am not sure now if I should attend hospital next week, surely the hospital should know that I am alright to attend as they know all my history.
Don't you believe it !
