Hello all I’ve recently been told I’ve got a tumour about 10cm, I’m only 36 years old and not sure what to do treatment wise, any recommendations on what I should do been given pain killers and tablets to start taking not sure weather I wanna have my kidney taken out or not.
Pazopanib this is the medication I’ve started taken any one else been on these.
Any one else having chemotherapy if so what types?
please help me I’m so confused?
Has one had this medication called Pazopanib before with kidney cancer or what medication have you guys been on? And how have the side effects been my tumour is about 10cm and it’s within the kidney still, any advise?
I am so sorry that you are having to cope with all this so young. I was 64 when diagnosed with a 5 cm tumour in my kidney. I was given the choice to watch and wait for the kidney cancer to develop, start on medication or have the kidney out. For me it was an easy choice - have the kidney and it’s monster contained out! I did talk over my decision with my gp though considering my age. A year later I am well and life goes on!
What medication were you given?
did you have chemotherapy as well?
Hi no medication at all as I chose to have my kidney out and the cancer hadn’t spread. I get six monthly ct scans and if it returns I will be started on tki’s which will hopefully slow down growth.
Wow I’m glad you are doing well? Not sure what I’m gonna do yet? Not sure
